Mackenzie Kettner, LAC Intern
Hello, thank you for being here! I am a pre-licensed counseling intern with a passion for working with early childhood. Early childhood can be an exciting, yet challenging phase in development. So much growth and learning happens in such a short time, and parents often feel the weight of the challenges faced during this brief developmental stage.
After earning my BS in Psychology, I worked with children and families in community mental health. Through my work, I discovered that I was driven to create the most positive change in the lives of children and families as possible, which led me to further my education towards becoming a play therapist for young children experiencing adversity and/or emotional struggles.
I’ve always had a unique interest in child development psychology. As a very creative, expressive person, I am excited to create my own path within play therapy for early childhood. I believe in every child’s ability to overcome adversity, and the adults in the child’s life play a pivotal role in fostering resilience. I am passionate about encouraging children and families to achieve their full potential, and I feel so lucky to support them in that. I am so excited to begin this journey with you!
