Zebunnessa Ahmed, LCSW

One of the most powerful skills we can develop at any age is the ability to notice and gently shift our thoughts. Even when we can’t control what happens around us, we can learn new ways to understand and respond to our experiences, because it’s not just our circumstances that shape us, but how we interpret them. I believe every individual has unique strengths, even when they feel hard to recognize. During difficult moments, it’s common to feel stuck, misunderstood, or unsure of how to move forward. With the right support, growth and healing are always possible.

My approach to therapy is holistic and developmentally attuned, honoring each person within the context of their environment, relationships, and lived experience. I have experience supporting individuals through a range of challenges, using evidence-based approaches such as Trauma-Focused CBT, DBT-informed skills, and CBT.

I tailor each session to meet clients where they are—often incorporating creativity, collaboration, and practical tools to support real-life change. Above all, I prioritize creating a space where people feel safe, heard, and understood. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to learn more about your needs & explore whether we’re a good fit.
